12 weeks. Learn to fly in challenging conditions using instruments and a range of relevant navigation aids.
Embedded into the Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating), a multi-engine class rating adds valuable experience and opens the door to charter work, flight instructing, medical, emergency services and beyond.
Our experienced instructors will guide you through the MEIR journey using our Piper Seminoles and simulator training.
All multi engine flight lessons are conducted in the safety of our Piper Seminoles – the ideal twin trainer.
Flight lessons are integrated with sim time on our dedicated, CASA certified Alsim flight simulator.
Comprehensive ground school theory classes prepare you for the Instrument Rating exam (IREX).
The Multi Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR) is considered a major upgrade to the basic commercial pilot licence as it enables pilots to fly multi engine aircraft in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC), offering flexibility in challenging weather and at night. Training covers both flying in IMC and handling multi engine aircraft.
This qualification is ideal for Commercial Pilots aiming to enhance their career prospects and skills. CPL required. No prior multi-engine aircraft experience is necessary to start the course.
You learn using Jeppesen instrument charts, maps and documents. The standard all over the world.
You get qualified on more instrument approach procedures. ILS. RNAV. LOC. VOR. DGA.
All planned flights with instructor time, briefings, landings and airways charges, textbook, navigation equipment, maps, charts plus your initial sitting of the IREX theory exam and flight test.
